Clients Not Happy With Their
MA-PD Plan?

Jan. 1 through Feb. 14 is the annual Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period, an opportunity for you to refer clients who are unhappy with their Medicare Advantage (MA) plans to Medicare BackOffice.

Have them call 1-877-385-8083!

The disenrollment period is only for people with Medicare Advantage plans, including those who have Medicare Advantage plans that include prescription drug coverage, called MA-PD plans.

Ask clients if they’re satisfied with their health insurance. For those who have MA or MA-PD plans and are unhappy, refer them to Medicare BackOffice from Jan. 1 through Feb. 14 so our Licensed Insurance Agents can review their existing plans for free and explore other plans that might better suit them.

Make sure they understand that disenrolling means:
  • they may need to find a Medicare Supplement plan and a standalone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan
  • if they add Medicare Supplement, they may be subject to underwriting, have a higher premium or waiting period, or be denied coverage
  • they will need to replace their prescription drug coverage right away to avoid a late enrollment penalty
  • they need to complete enrollment in new plans by Feb. 14
