Medicare Advantage (MA), which is an “all in one” alternative to Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), must cover all the services that Original Medicare cover. But most MA plans also offer coverage for things that aren’t covered by Original Medicare, such as vision, hearing, dental and wellness programs like gym memberships. They also can cover more extra benefits than they have in the past, including services like over-the-counter drugs, adult day-care services, transportation to doctor visits, and other health-related services that promote health and wellness.
